' The Comfy' in Paisley and Pink 7968

Reversible cotton patchwork from The 'Comfy' factory  'Comfy' quilts were made in a small factory in Rossendale in Lancashire  which operated from the early  twentieth century until 1970.  They are one hundred percent cotton and sold themeselves as '..the hygenic alternative '   presumably as they were very easy to wash !. This one still has its original glaze, very possibly given as a wedding present ,  kept for best and never used
